// Build challenges
  1. 01

    Presenting a catalogue of 23 brands and hundreds of SKUs across split, multi-split, portable, window and cassette types so a non-technical buyer could navigate to the right unit for their room.

  2. 02

    Helping buyers size a unit correctly — BTU output against room size — without an installer on the phone, and surfacing heat-pump heating capability as a year-round selling point.

  3. 03

    Running the full commerce flow — cart, checkout, stock, UK and EU shipping and a 5-year warranty — from one codebase that also compiles to iOS and Android.

// Case study

The retailer was already converting interest into questions, not orders. Buyers arrived knowing their room size but not the unit — how much BTU output it needed, whether split, portable or window made sense, and whether the unit could heat as well as cool. Left alone in a 23-brand catalogue, most of that intent stalled before checkout.

The storefront pairs a full commerce engine (catalogue, cart, checkout, stock, UK and EU shipping) with two decision tools that answer the sizing question up front: a BTU calculator that maps room size to required output, and an AC Advisor that takes room size, usage and budget and recommends a specific unit in chat. Brand, capacity and heat-pump filters sit on top, so a buyer can narrow hundreds of SKUs to a shortlist without speaking to anyone.

Nine days from brief to launch. The shop now runs end to end on one codebase — storefront, back office and the iOS and Android builds — and buyers reach a correctly sized, warranty-backed unit with free mainland delivery without an installer on the phone.
